An 88 -year -old man died after being run over by a motorcycle while crossing the street in the pedestrian strip in Pirituba, in the North Zone of São Paulo. The case occurred on the afternoon of last Sunday (2).

After being run over, the motorcyclist fled the scene. The elderly man was rescued to the Taipas General Hospital, but did not resist and died at the health unit.
The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reported that the Civil Police, through the 46th Police District (Perus), identified the motorcyclist responsible for the run over, who presented himself at the police unit and was indicted for willful murder towards a motor vehicle and omission of relief.
The portfolio also said that the police authority requested the temporary arrest of the plaintiff and is awaiting court decision.
