One person remains missing after the sinking of a fishing boat in Curuçá (PA), approximately 140 km from Belém, which occurred last Tuesday (19). According to the Civil Police, four crew members were on board the vessel, three of which were rescued by fishermen passing by.

In a note sent to CNN on the morning of this Monday (25), the Civil Police reported that they were investigating the circumstances of the accident through the São João de Pirabas Police Station and that forensic examinations were requested and witnesses will be interviewed to assist in the investigations.
According to the Brazilian Navy, the patrol ship “Guanabara” was called in to search for the person missing in the wreck. Furthermore, the Port Authority of the Eastern Amazon opened an investigation into navigation accidents and facts to investigate the case.
