Skydiver Yasmin Xavier went viral on social media this week for a rather unusual skydive. The 25-year-old jumped from a height of 3,000 meters on a water slide attached to a balloon. The feat was performed last week in the city of Praia Grande (SC), about 290 kilometers from Florianópolis.

A CNN Yasmin said that skydiving came into her life at the age of 16, when she performed her first and only tandem jump and fell in love with the sport.
“It was love at first sight. Since then, it has been the sport that fills my soul the most. A childhood passion, which was realized in adolescence and I hope to live and grow with it for the rest of my life”, he reported.
According to the skydiver, the idea for a water slide in a balloon came to her when she was driving and passed by a disused water park. After having the idea, Yasmin began building the project and found a company located in São Paulo that agreed to put the plan into practice.
“I saw a slide and my first thought was: ‘imagine hanging a slide from a balloon and sliding down until it falls into the infinite sky? Always looking for unique experiences in life. And that’s how I started to build the project”, explained the skydiver.
According to Yasmin, the process was not simple: it was necessary to create a cement platform in the middle of the balloon’s take-off field and the slide was attached to this platform.
When the balloon was on top of the water slide, the team on the ground unscrewed the equipment from the ground and the flight began.
