A building collapsed on the morning of Wednesday (6) in the neighborhood of Piedade, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in the metropolitan region of Recife. No one was injured.
According to the Civil Defense, the property had been vacated since last Sunday (3) due to risk of collapse.
This morning, Civil Defense and Crea teams conducted a survey and, around 9:20 am, the building was isolated after signs of aggravation in the structure.

The collapse occurred at 10:51. The city reported that the evacuation of residents occurred in an orderly manner and with the support of the technical team, which remains on site.
The municipality’s contingency plan was called to monitor and assist the population.
