A couple was the victim of armed robbery on the afternoon of last Saturday (3), around 3:10 pm, while driving along the Presidente Dutra Highway, at the time of the Várzea do Palace neighborhood of Guarulhos, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
A video recorded by a local resident shows the moment when it is possible to see the suspects approaching armed, surrendering the couple and ordering them to get off the vehicle.
One of the criminals requires the driver to unlock the cell phone before fleeing. Then the two men get in the car and leave the place. Watch the video:
According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), two gunmen approached the victim, a 21 -year -old, and took the car – a Volkswagen Virtus Exclusive – as well as cell phones, bags, tennis and other personal effects.
The driver’s girlfriend was also in the vehicle at the time of the crime. Neither was injured. The case was registered as a vehicle theft and is investigated by the city’s 1st Police District.
According to the PM, the victim called the police by calling 190 and was instructed to register a police report. A car was displaced to Rua Machado, number 107, where part of the occurrence was initially recorded.
The case was formalized at the Electronic Police Station and referred to the 1st DP of Guarulhos, which performs steps to identify and locate the perpetrators of the crime.
The vehicle and the objects taken have not yet been recovered. Until the last update of this report, no suspects had been arrested.
