A canine snake caught the attention of pedestrians who walked on the afternoon of last Monday (28) along Heinrich Hosang Street, in the central region of Blumenau (SC).
Psychologist Catarina Gewehr, professor at the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB), recorded the moment and shared it on social media.

According to veterinarian Julio Cesar de Souza Jr, professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine at FURB, the caninana is a non-venomous and common species in the region, feeding mainly on rodents.
The expert stated that the snake is important for controlling rodents and other small birds. With diurnal and arboreal habits, the species is easily identified by its black and yellow coloring, and can reach up to 2 meters in length.
