A couple was arrested for injury and bodily harm after those involved attacked a Rio de Janeiro BRT inspector. The case happened last Thursday night (28).
According to the Municipal Department of Public Order, they arrived at the station drunk and started a riot.

In the images from the security cameras, it is possible to see the moment in which the woman tries to pass through the location’s turnstile, but is unable to do so. The man accompanying her starts talking to an employee and moments later the argument intensifies between the couple and the inspector.
Another employee approaches the situation to clear the way for those involved. At this moment, the woman pushes the inspector who was talking to her partner.
The man sees the situation and attacks the employee, who was injured with punches and a bite to his stomach. Another worker tries to separate the confusion.
In a statement, MOBI-Rio reported that “the station operator is doing well and is receiving the necessary support”.
The couple was arrested and the incident was registered at the 41st DP, in Tanque.
