Two security guards from Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) were removed after witnessing a fight between two passengers and not taking the initiative to separate them. The case happened last Monday (16) on a train on Line 10-Turquoise.
In a video taken by a witness, it is possible to see the two men arguing when the passenger, who is wearing a white t-shirt, attacks the other who is wearing a black t-shirt, and he then throws a punch at the man.
After this, the passenger wearing a white shirt, who manages to avoid the blow, falls to the ground and is attacked several times by the other man.
In the images, it is possible to see two CPTM security guards, who are simply observing the situation. Look:
The CPTM reported that the two men “were separated by the security guards” and highlighted that the passengers involved did not need to be taken to the hospital and the police station and continued their journey separately.
In a note sent to CNN the company highlighted that both security guards were removed until the facts were investigated and that “it repudiates any type of violence, on the part of passengers or employees, and investigates all the facts of the approach, including images from security cameras, to take appropriate administrative measures.”
