A 20-year-old man was run over and died after trying to rob a woman last Thursday night (10) in the Saúde neighborhood, south of São Paulo. The driver who ran over the criminal was the victim of the attempted robbery.
According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the victim reported that he accelerated the vehicle and ran over the assailant after being approached. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and confirmed the death at the scene.

The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. After running over the assailant, the woman’s vehicle collides with a gate.
The case happened on Biobedas Street. The military police officers who were called discovered that the suspects were on two motorcycles and approached the victim and his co-worker in a car.
According to the SSP, the women were not injured and the accomplice managed to escape with a ring. Furthermore, the motorcycle used in the crime had been reported stolen, the ministry said.
Forensics were called and the case was registered as robbery, homicide and self-defense at the 16th DP (Vila Clementino).
