A 60-year-old criminal police officer was shot three times after reacting to an attempted robbery by shooting at the criminals. The case occurred last Friday (15), in Belford Roxo, in Baixada Fluminense.
Images obtained by CNN They show the moment when the agent left home, around 5am, to go to work. As the officer prepared to get into a car, on the passenger side, another vehicle appeared and a suspect shot at the officer.
Immediately, the agent took out his gun and shot at the car. The criminals then fled the scene.
The officer was shot in the left hand, left leg and abdomen. He was taken to the Belford Roxo Municipal Hospital and transferred to the Adão Pereira Nunes Municipalized Hospital.
According to the municipal administration of Duque de Caxias, after undergoing surgical procedures, the police officer remains hospitalized and his health is stable.
The case was registered at the 54th Police Station, in Belford Roxo.
