Security camera footage captured the moment a delivery man threw a box with a television over the wall of a house in Bento Ribeiro, in the north of Rio de Janeiro. The case happened last Friday (8) and went viral this week on social media. See the video below .
According to marketing manager Raphael Baez, he purchased the TV on a website that exchanges bonuses at partner companies for products. According to Raphael, the TV cost around R$1,000, but with discounts it reached R$700. He also paid R$31 for delivery of the product.
When the delivery was to be made, the delivery man was directed to Raphael's wife through a call. This is because, as there was no one at home, the intercom made a call to the property owners. Raphael's wife answered and instructed the delivery man to leave the product with the neighbor, who is a trusted person in the family.
However, the woman was surprised when she arrived home, hours later, and saw the product on the floor. Security cameras captured the moment the delivery man threw the product, which damaged part of the floor. Furthermore, Raphael's wife had difficulty entering the house because the television ended up blocking the opening of the gate.
Raphael says he turned on the TV after the incident, and it had no apparent damage, but it kept turning off by itself at times.
“The company where I bought the television sent me another product, and they also got in touch to apologize for what happened. But the logistics company, which did all the dirty work, has done nothing so far,” he said.
A CNN contacted Loggi, the company responsible for delivery, but there was no response.
