The driver of a packed clandestine van fled a traffic stop and ended up arrested in Rio de Janeiro this Tuesday (26). During the escape, passengers filmed the moment of panic and published videos on social media. The driver did not have a license to drive.
While traveling along a road in the west of the capital of Rio de Janeiro, the driver realized that the traffic stop was being carried out. He then reverses and starts heading in the opposite direction.
Upon seeing a vehicle, the driver began an escape attempt. The van stopped only after being intercepted by police officers.
During the escape, the passengers screamed, banged on the bodywork and asked the driver to stop the vehicle. They even draw attention to the presence of children inside the van. As soon as the vehicle is stopped, the driver is arrested.
“It's going to be worse for you, man. Stop there”, warned an occupant. “There’s no way to escape, no. Stop there,” said another.
After the approach, the agents also found that the van was not licensed.
The driver was taken to the 43rd DP, while the van was taken to the yard.
