A driver ran over a 10-year-old child who was riding a bicycle in front of his house in the Arapoanga neighborhood, in the Federal District, last Sunday (1st).
The child’s mother went to the police station and reported that the impact caused him to fall and suffer injuries to his face.
Security camera footage captured the moment of the accident. In the footage, it is possible to see that the boy was distracted, close to the sidewalk, when he was hit by the car.

After the accident, the driver did not stop to provide assistance, turning onto another street immediately.
A photo shared on social media shows the child’s bike with the back damaged due to the impact.
The case was registered at the 31st Civil Police Station as an escape from the scene of a traffic accident. The Civil Police of the Federal District is investigating the incident.
