A 78-year-old, identified as Vilma Rosa, had both legs amputated after being hit by a bus while crossing the pedestrian track on the morning of Monday (7) in the Jordansia district of Cajamar, Greater Sao Paulo.
A security camera caught running over. The images show that as he left a bakery, the elderly woman looked around both sides and started the crossing in the pedestrian strip.
When she was almost in the middle of the track, she was hit by the bus. The impact was so strong that Vilma fell to the floor, and the bus wheels passed over her legs. See below:
According to information from the Secretariat of Public Security, the 54 -year -old man who drove the vehicle, realizing the impact, provided help to the victim and was then arrested in the act.
The driver was arrested and sent to the Jordanésia police station, where the case was recorded as a guilty bodily injury towards a motor vehicle.
The City Hall of Cajamar, through the Municipal Health Secretariat, reported that the elderly woman entered the municipal health network with traumatic amputation of lower limb and exposed fracture in the tibia.
After the first emergency care, Vilma was transferred to the Doctor Albano State Hospital of Franca Rocha Sobrinho, to receive specialized care.
