A 71 -year -old was rescued by the Fire Department from inside a well in the municipality of Doctor Maurício Cardoso (RS), about 520 kilometers from Porto Alegre.
According to the corporation, it was found about 8 meters deep, with cold water to shoulder height on Tuesday night (20). Family members of the elderly woman heard the shouts of help and triggered the garrison.

To rescue, the firefighters set up an anchoring system in the structure of a nearby tractor. The descent to the bottom of the well was made with a rope, rappel.
For lifting, the elderly woman was equipped with a “skydiver” rescue belt and a helmet. As soon as it was taken from the well, it was wrapped in a thermal blanket and taken to the hospital.
The health status of the elderly was not informed. There is also no information on how the accident happened.
