A 91 -year -old woman was run over by a bus On the morning of last Monday (5) on Avenida Tiradentes, in the center of Guarulhos, in Greater São Paulo.
The victim, identified as Aparecida Mosquetti Terencio, was rescued alive by the Fire Department and sent to Carlos Chagas Hospital. According to the police report, military police were fired around 11am and found the victim lying on the ground, being assisted by popular.
The 62 -year -old bus driver showed signs of emotional shaking and was also referred to the Good Climate Hospital for medical evaluation.
The driver later reported to the Civil Police driving the bus through the right track and, when he beside the left with the traffic light, spotted the elderly woman running around the side. He said he braked immediately, but could not avoid the impact. The vehicle did not suffer apparent damage. Watch the video:
The scene of the accident could not be inspected, as the bus was removed from the road to avoid further incidents. The Civil Police are awaiting the victim’s demonstration, if she wishes to provide clarification or represent criminally against the driver.
The case was registered as a guilty bodily injury towards a motor vehicle, aggravating because it occurred in the exercise of the profession of passenger transport.
Investigations follow the 1st Guarulhos Police District.
