An elderly man, aged 78, was rescued by the Águia helicopter, from the São Paulo Military Police, on Sunday afternoon (12), in Canoas, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The man, who was isolated on the roof of his house, made a distress call and the air team was called by the area coordination center.
The victim had a foot injury and therefore had difficulty moving.
With the help of an electric winch attached to the aircraft, the officers managed to remove him from the property. One of the police officers went down to the slab and placed the elderly man on the equipment so that the structure could be lifted. See video below.
The victim was taken to the fire station, where he received medical attention.
