A man who was a fugitive from justice was arrested this Wednesday (31), in Rio de Janeiro, after hiding under the living room sofa.
Based on information provided by Disque Denúncia, agents from the Seap Recapture Division (Recap) went to the municipality of Barra Mansa, in the south of the state, where Igor Luis dos Santos was found. Watch the video below.
According to Disque Denúncia, Igor was arrested in 2021 for drug trafficking, progressed to the semi-open regime in June 2023 and, in December of last year, benefited from the Periodic Home Visit (VPL).
At the time, the inmate did not return to the prison system within the scheduled timeframe and since then was considered a fugitive.
According to the Penitentiary Administration Secretariat (Seap), Igor Luis dos Santos worked as a drug trafficking manager in the Vila Coringa community, in Barra Mansa.
After his arrest, he was taken to the police station and then returned to the prison system.
