Video: Goat arrested on trunk is rescued during floods in RJ

One goat It was rescued by the Fire Department during the flood that hits the city of Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro, this Saturday (5).

The animal was arrested in the trunk of a car hit by a pole. The rescue took place in the Val Paraíso neighborhood. The city has a very high hydrological risk.

The vehicle was trapped on the road after the post’s fall over its structure. Watch the video below:

According to the Petrópolis City Hall, the goat was taken to the Fire Department Battalion, where he received care from the animal welfare coordination (Coba). The animal is doing well, has vital signs preserved and without a sign of drowning. The Fire Department has already located the tutor who should seek the animal in the coming hours.


500 people are homeless

The rains that hit the state of Rio de Janeiro since last Friday (4) have left about 500 people homeless and nine homeless, according to the Fire Department.

In all, they were served 77 Occurrences related to bad weather with 41 people rescued without gravity.

According to the corporation, the hydrological risk is tall in 11 municipalities, including:

  • Rio de Janeiro (capital);
  • Nova Friburgo;
  • São João de Meriti, Nova Iguaçu;
  • Teresópolis;
  • Angra dos Reis;
  • Mangaratiba;
  • Petrópolis;
  • Duke of Caxias;
  • Magé;
  • Purple Belford.

The risk is considered high In Silva Jardim, Macaé, Rio das Ostras, Seropédica, Itaguaí, Queimados, Guapimirim, Mesquita, Nilópolis and São Gonçalo.

There is also a risk of loud sliding In Angra dos Reis and Petrópolis, and high in the state capital, Rio Claro, Teresópolis, Magé, Guapimirim, Duke of Caxias, Belford Purple and Mangaratiba.
