A hailstorm left the streets of the city of Gniezno, in western Poland, covered in ice this Monday (20).
Images taken by broadcaster TVN24 showed vehicles and people passing through the streets, which turned into a river of ice because of the hailstones that remained floating on the surface of the water.
A resident was trapped in her car by the flood and had to be freed by another person, who then also needed help, a firefighter told TVN.
Poland's meteorological agency described the storms as “violent” and said the bad weather would continue until Tuesday (21). More hail is expected in areas of the west and southeast of the country, in addition to rain with strong winds.
