Israeli military personnel released videos on Friday (12) claiming they found drones and other weapons at a site called the Hamas combat compound, inside the former headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, known as UNRWA, in Gaza City.
They added that they evacuated civilians from the area before attacking.

“On the last day, we found a sensitive Hamas site inside UNRWA,” an unidentified soldier said on camera.
A statement attached to the videos also said that Israel Defense Forces soldiers found a major Hamas tunnel nearby and a weapons production facility beneath a university building.
The armed wings of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad group said they attacked Israeli forces with anti-tank missiles and mortars, killing and wounding scores of people. There was no comment from the Israeli military on the allegations.
Home to more than a quarter of Gaza’s pre-war residents, Gaza City was largely destroyed by the end of 2023, but hundreds of thousands of Palestinians returned to their ruined homes before Israel ordered them to leave once again.
Dozens of residents returned this Friday (12) to check the damage, after civil emergency teams put out fires in the early hours.
