From sharing food and napping to family gatherings, Libyan Abdel Fattah Al-Saadi has been raising a predatory animal as a pet inside his home in Tripoli, Libya.
After purchasing his first pet lion at age 16, Al-Saadi expressed an interest in raising predatory animals as a hobby, and now raises a one-and-a-half-year-old cub in his garden.
Breeding these carnivores is a dangerous hobby, but Al-Saadi believes lions are compassionate toward humans and that it all depends on how they are treated while they grow up, he told Reuters.
“I made sure we had a good bond. Whenever I come, he welcomes me. We have a great relationship together,” says Al-Saadi.
