A man was arrested this Friday (29) after stealing a cell phone inside the headquarters of the Tavares Buril Identification Institute (IITB), an agency of the Civil Police of Pernambuco, in the Santo Amaro neighborhood, central area of Recife. The theft, which occurred on Thursday afternoon (28), was recorded by security cameras when the man, wearing a white shirt, was caught taking the device while it was charging from an outlet.
The images show the exact moment in which the man bends down, pulls his cell phone from the socket and then leaves the place calmly with the device. According to the Civil Police, the person responsible for the theft was located in Muribeca, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, and arrested for theft.
In addition to the perpetrator of the crime, the Civil Police also arrested the cell phone receiver.
