A man was filmed stealing the tithe money in the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Mother Church, in Tangará da Serra (MT), a municipality located about 242 km from Cuiabá (MT). The case occurred on February 15 and police located the suspect last Monday (17).

During the approach, made by the Mato Grosso Military Police, the man said he had dismissed the box next to an ice cream shop and had already spent the money that had been stolen.
According to the PM, the suspect was nervous at the time he was located and did not want to accept the team’s orders. Then the man was arrested and handcuffed
The Church manifested itself through an Instagram publication. “This act disrespects the faith and generosity of all who deposit their intentions and contributions with love,” says the post caption.
