A man identified as Sidnei de Souza Azevedo was killed at a bank branch of Caixa Econômica Federal in the city of Dias D’Ávila, Salvador Metropolitan Region. The action took place around 2:45 pm on Thursday (3), after a discussion between the man and a security guard who worked at the scene.
According to the police police record, Sidnei arrived at the bank branch early in the morning and sought to resolve financial situations pending with the institution. Because of the delay, he argued with employees and started a fight with the security guard, assaulted with a punch on his face. At this point, Jeanderson de Souza Santana fired a shot that hit him in the belly region.
Sidnei could not resist the injuries and died at the scene. The agency’s security guard was arrested in the act.

“The defense of Mr. Jeanderson de Souza Santana comes, through this, to clarify that his assisted acted within the limits of legality. In the exercise of his function as a vigilant, he intervened in front of an uncontrolled client who threatened and assaulted the attendants of Caixa Econômica Federal. When trying to contain the situation, he was also beaten with a punch on his face by the client, who broke up violently.

Given the possibility of being disarmed, having their own lives put at risk, as well as the lives of attendants and other clients, Mr. Jeanderson made a single shot with the exclusive purpose of containing unjust aggression. It is important to highlight that there was no intention to kill, but to preserve lives, thus acting in self -defense and third parties.
We reiterate that Mr. Jeanderson is an honest worker, father of family and righteous man, who has never intended to take the life of anyone. His performance reflected only in the fulfillment of his duty and the commitment to the security of all present. ”
In a note sent to CNN the box lamented the death.

The bank informs that the unit team promptly called SAMU to provide relief to the customer.
