A 43-year-old man killed a dog by running over the animal three times on Saturday morning (31), in the Ocian neighborhood, Praia Grande, coastal region of São Paulo.
Security camera footage shows the driver of a white car hitting the animal and then reversing and running over the dog again. The man did not provide assistance and fled the scene.

According to the Civil Police, the driver appeared at the police station on Monday night (2), where he gave a statement but was released.
THE CNN contacted the family of the animal’s owner, who claim that they took the dog to the vet after the accident and tried to revive him, but he was already dead.
The dog, identified as Guri, was 13 years old and, according to family members, was very docile, always walking the streets for a while and then returning home.
The case was registered at the 1st DP of Praia Grande, which continues to investigate the case.
