Young David Ferreira was shot while running through the streets of Rio de Janeiro and recorded the moment he ended up being shot. The incident took place last Saturday (5), in the Ricardo de Albuquerque neighborhood, in the North of Rio.
On social media, Ferreira, who is a runner, explained that he went out to do 21 kilometers, from Nilópolis, in Baixada Fluminense, to Vila da Penha, in the north of Rio, where he was going to pick up his son.
However, during the journey, as he passed through the Ricardo Albuquerque neighborhood, near Avenida Nazaré, he ended up being shot in the leg.
The video of the moment went viral on social media and already has more than 100 thousand views and three thousand likes.

Soon after, he was taken to a health unit in the region, where he received medical care.
When talking about the situation, he said that with the incident, he will encourage other people to run and exercise.
“Don’t stop exercising (…) positive energy and upwards”, he said.

In a post on social media, he thanked the people who reposted the video and said he was “born again”.
Regarding his recovery, David said he continues to limp due to the shot and is recovering well, with the help of his wife, who is a nurse.
When contacted, the PM stated that on Saturday (5), agents went to Upa de Ricardo de Albuquerque to check the entry of a man with injuries caused by a gunshot to the leg, and that at the scene, the facts confirmed.
The Civil Police reported that the case was registered at the 31st DP (Ricardo de Albuquerque) and that it is investigating the fact in order to identify the origin of the shot that hit the victim and clarify the facts.
