A video circulating on social media shows the moment a military police officer attacks a motorcycle courier in the Lagamar community, in Fortaleza (CE). The case occurred last Sunday night (9).

According to the Military Police, a team from the State Urban and Highway Traffic Battalion (BPRE) was supporting a blitz by the Municipal Traffic and Citizenship Authority when a motorcyclist fled the approach on Avenida Governador Raul Barbosa.
The persecution ended in the Lagamar community, where the video was recorded. In the images, it is possible to see the police officer getting off the motorcycle, taking off the helmet of the motorcyclist, who was carrying a delivery backpack, and using the equipment to beat the man.
“PMCE emphasizes that it repudiates any action that goes against the values of the Corporation and the procedural and legal duties of its members,” stated the corporation in a note to CNN .
The Military Police stated that a procedure was initiated to investigate the facts.
