In a video published on social media, the mother of young Ana Clara Benevides appears thanking Taylor Swift’s fans for the donations made to the family to cover the costs of transporting the body and burial. On the day of the show in which Ana Clara died, the capital of Rio de Janeiro recorded 39.1°C and broke a thermal sensation record with 59.3°C.
In the video, Adriana, mother of Ana Benevides, thanks you for the donations and messages of support. “Yesterday we started a fundraiser asking for help and now this morning we have received enough money to do everything we wanted. Many people donated. Much gratitude for everything.”
“Today I know that my daughter was very loved. Her friends stayed with me here yesterday until 4 am telling their stories, my daughter’s stories and it was just joy”, says the mother in the video released.
Adriana did not say the exact amount that was raised, but stated that she will return to report. “I want to do everything the way she liked it,” said her mother.
The young woman’s friend, Thiago Fernandes, who published the video, told CNN that the majority of donations came directly from Taylor Swift’s fans.
