A motorcyclist was arrested after driving his vehicle dangerously and invading parallel lanes on a highway in the Federal District, in the Recanto das Emas region, a city located about 30 kilometers from Brasília, last Wednesday (26).
The maneuvers performed by the driver took place during a chase by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on BR-060, which was filmed by police officers.
In a video posted on social media, it is possible to see the moment when the motorcyclist leaves one of the lanes, passes through the central reservation and invades the parallel section of the highway.
While performing several risky maneuvers in an attempt to escape from the police, the motorcyclist almost hit several cars that were also traveling in the area at that time.
According to the PRF, the driver’s driving threatened the lives of highway users while traveling at high speed and in the wrong direction, only being stopped after colliding with a vehicle on the road. Watch the moment of the chase:
After identifying the motorcyclist, PRF agents found that his license and licensing had expired, in addition to R$8,000 accumulated in fines.
The driver also had a prior conviction and was arrested in 2021 for illegal possession of drugs, in addition to having four police records. He was arrested in flagrante delicto and will be charged with the crimes of disobedience and dangerous driving.
