Air India’s Boeing 787 aircraft crashed on Thursday on buildings in the city of Ahmedabad, in the Northwest India Gujarat state, shortly after taking off in London, leaving only one survivor of the 242 occupants and 20s. Air India in a statement last night clarified that of the 242 occupants on the plane, there are 241 confirmed deaths and that the only survivor was hospitalized. AFP journalist saw Indian rescue teams along with specially trained dogs looking for the dead. A local police spokesman, Kanan Dessai, told reporters that “265 corpses were taken to the hospital”, which means that 24 people were killed on the ground when the plane crashed into a medical staff.
