An off-duty military police officer responded to a robbery at a pharmacy, in Vila Mariana, south of São Paulo, on Monday night (20), resulting in the death of one of the criminals. Security cameras recorded the moment.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, at around 11:30 pm, three armed criminals invaded a pharmacy, located on Rua Humberto I, announcing the robbery. A military police officer who was at the scene reacted to the criminal action. See below:
During the exchange of gunfire, one of the assailants, a 22-year-old man, was shot.
The criminal who was shot was rescued and taken to UPA Vila Mariana, but he succumbed to his injuries and died.
The other two robbers managed to flee the scene before police reinforcements arrived.
The area was isolated for forensic work, which seized the officer’s weapon for investigation.
The case was registered as resistance, death resulting from police intervention and attempted robbery, and is being investigated by the DHPP Homicide Division, which seeks to identify and locate the other two involved in the robbery.
