Video: Passengers walk on the monorail platform of SP

Passengers of the 15-Peta Metro line had to walk on the emergency platform outside the wagons, on Tuesday afternoon (6), between the Oratory stations and São Lucas.

According to subway information, the composition had to be emptied after a failure and the passengers had to move to another that came next. “In occurrences like this, a composition needs to approach the other, safely, to overflow passengers,” said the São Paulo subway in a statement.

In videos that circulate on the internet, you can see passengers down the composition with the support of a monorail security agent. The incident occurred between 13h and 14h. At this time the 15-prize line works normally.

The São Paulo subway stated that employees assisted in the process and all security protocols were strictly followed.

The company also said passengers triggered the train emergency device without waiting for the subway guidelines and descended to the emergency catwalk.

The monorail of São Paulo has a height between 15 and 20 meters, depending on the stretch. The wagons operate on tires and use driverless technology, which is an autonomous operation without the presence of a driver.
