Video: Police rescue man who would be executed by drug court in Rio

Agents from the Environmental Protection Department (DPMA), the Special Resources Coordination (CORE) and the General Department of Specialized Police rescued, this Wednesday (25), a man who would be executed by a “trafficking court” in the Caju neighborhood, in the port area of ​​Rio.

The action had the collaboration of agents from the State Institute of the Environment (Inea) and used the Aeropolice Service (Saer) helicopter in the search for the victim.

According to the Civil Police, the man is an audiovisual producer and resident of a community run by rival drug dealers to the Third Pure Command (TCP), which controls the Caju favela. For this reason, he would have been identified in the favela and held hostage.

In the images, it is possible to see at least five men circulating around the place, a deserted dirt street, while the man is on the ground.

Based on the images and intelligence information, Civil Police teams identified the exact location and moment in which the crime would be committed. The agents then carried out a rescue operation and managed to rescue the producer, who was seriously injured.

During the action, one of the drug dealers was killed after a confrontation with agents, according to the Civil Police. The others involved managed to escape. Police also seized a rifle.

The producer was rescued by the police, but his health status and the hospital where he was taken were not informed.
