The Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrested on Monday afternoon (8) four men suspected of integrating a gang specializing in financial crimes. The arrests took place in a toll plaza on the Regis Bittencourt highway (BR-116) in Cajati (SP).
According to the PRF, the group was in a vehicle that had previously been related to criminal occurrences.
Upon being stopped for supervision, men presented different versions of the reason for the trip, which led the agents to a deeper investigation.
Through consultations with systems and image recognition, it was possible to identify that two of the passengers used false documents and had open arrest warrants for various crimes.
During searches, R $ 36,577.00 in cash were found, which were hidden in a false bottom in the car panel, as well as bank proofs, cell phones and equipment used in fraud with bank cards.
A second car, which would be linked to the group and had been involved in an accident in the region of Barra do Turvo, a city near Cajati, was also inspected. In it were found similar objects, which reinforced the suspicion of criminal practices.
The two cars and the suspects were taken to the Jacupiranga General Investigations Police Station (DIG), filed in the act for qualified theft and criminal association.
In addition, the arrest warrants pending was complied with. They remain available to justice.
