The Civil Police investigates a attempted femicide that occurred last Saturday (17) in Vicar General in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

According to witnesses, the perpetrator would be Jorge Pereira Alves, ex-boyfriend of Daiana. The couple maintained a troubled relationship for about six months, marked by constant comings and goings. People close to the victim reported that Jorge had already assaulted a former partner previously, including a stab.
Daiana was rescued by popular and taken to Getúlio Vargas State Hospital in Penha, where she remains in serious condition, according to information from the unit’s management.
The Military Police were called to the hospital after being informed about the history of violence involving the suspect. The case was registered at the 38th Police Station (Brás de Pina), which conducts the investigations.
Agents located the vehicle used in the crime. The car had kneaded on the front compatible with the running over and was referred to the expertise.
In a statement, the Civil Police reported that due diligence is in progress to locate the perpetrator and clarify all facts related to the crime.
