One intense shooting scared the residents from Vila Kennedy in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, at dawn on Wednesday (9). According to information from the Military Police, the confrontation was motivated by a dispute between rival factions criminals operating in the region.
According to reports of neighbors, the bandits still tried to steal cars and belongings of close residents, increasing the climate of fear and insecurity in the place.

Police from the 14th PM Battalion (Bangu) were fired after reports of firearm shots in the community. According to the unit command, a team was sent to the scene immediately, but did not find any suspicious movement at the time of arrival. Nevertheless, policing was reinforced in the area.
During patrolling by agents of the 14th BPM Tactical Action Group (GAT), two men were found in a slab in the locality. With them, the police seized two pistols and porters. The suspects were arrested and referred to the 34th Police Station (Bangu), where the case was registered.
The PM press office reported that policing remains reinforced in Vila Kennedy, with the aim of avoiding further confrontations and ensuring security.
