A drone video this Thursday (31) showed a pile of cars that were carried away by floods in the Valencia region, in eastern Spain.
Meteorologists said the rain that fell in eight hours in parts of Valencia on Tuesday (29) was the equivalent of what was estimated for an entire year.
The floods have affected the region’s infrastructure, destroying bridges, roads and railways and flooding agricultural land, in a region that produces around two-thirds of the citrus fruits grown in Spain, one of the world’s main exporters of oranges.
