THE CNN contacted the Santos player’s staff, who confirmed that the athlete lives in the building, but countered that he was not there, therefore he would not be the target of the suspects.
According to the police, the building’s doorman was also involved in the action with the individuals.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, as soon as they realized the presence of police officers at the scene, the suspects tried to flee. In the attempt, one of them was injured, while the others invaded the building and took six hostages.
Furthermore, the delegate reported that after the negotiations, which took place peacefully, two individuals surrendered.
The case will be presented at the 3rd DP of Santos as qualified robbery, criminal association, attempted murder and qualified damage.
