Video shows giant rocks crushing cars in India; two people died

At least two people were killed and three injured on Tuesday after giant rocks hit three cars on a road in Nagaland, in India’s far east. The site was hit by a landslide due to heavy monsoon rains.

According to The Hindustan Times, the accident happened on the Kohima-Dimapur National Highway in Chumoukedima district at around 5 pm local time.

The region, which borders Myanmar, has been suffering from the heavy rains of the monsoon period.

A video published by the ANI news agency shows a gigantic rock falling quickly and hitting two cars, which were completely destroyed. Then another large rock hits the third car, flips over and hits a truck next to it.

According to information from local news agencies, one person died at the scene, while another succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the Referral Hospital in Dimapur.
