At the scene of the accident, 179 victims were found, a man and a woman crew were rescued alive and are in hospital, authorities said.
Worst plane crash in decades
This is the country’s worst air disaster in decades.
Among the dead, 84 were men and 85 were women, while the genders of 10 people were not confirmed, according to officials. With the exception of two Thai citizens, everyone on board was South Korean.
A week of mourning will be held in Jeolla province, South Korea, to remember the victims of the plane crash, an official announced during a statement this Sunday (29).
