A video circulating on social media shows two supermarket security guards assaulting a woman in the parking lot. The incident took place at an establishment belonging to the Fonte Nova chain, in the Bom Clima neighborhood, in Guarulhos.
The footage shows the moment when two employees of the establishment corner the woman and one of them trips her so that she falls to the ground. Watch the video below.
On social networks, the supermarket chain Fonte Nova regretted the incident and reaffirmed its commitment to repudiate and not condone any type of aggressive or violent behavior.
The report also adds that this is an “isolated case” and guarantees the “immediate dismissal of the employee who carried out such an act, which is being investigated through an internal audit to clarify and take the necessary measures”.
The São Paulo Civil Police informed the CNN that the manager of the commercial establishment and the security guards have already been identified and summoned to give testimony at the 6th DP of Guarulhos.
“The police authority takes steps to locate the victim who, if interested, can file a complaint against the perpetrators”, says the note. The police pointed out that as this is a crime subject to criminal prosecution, representation by the victim is necessary for the investigations to proceed.
