Video: Suspect of attack in Washington is arrested shouting “Palestine Free”

A video recorded by a witness showed the suspect involved in the murder of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington, DC, United States, on Wednesday night (21). While being arrested, the man shouted pro-palestinian phrases.

The video, obtained by the Reuters news agency, showed a man with a beard shouting “Palestine, free, free” while contained by security agents outside the Jewish museum of the capital.

During a news conference, the head of the Metropolitan Police Department, Pamela Smith, said police believe the attack on fire was led by a single suspect who is now in custody.

Police identified him as 30 -year -old Elias Rodriguez from the city of Chicago.

Smith stated in a press conference that Rodriguez “was observed walking from side to side outside the museum” before “approaching a group of four, withdrawing a gun and opening fire, hitting our two deceased.”

After the attack on fire, the department head said the suspect entered the museum being detained for the security of the event.

Once handcuffed, he informed security where he had ruled out the gun, which was recovered by the authorities.

He shouted “free, free Palestine” while in custody, continued Smith.

The place and date the video was filmed were confirmed by the metadata of the original file. The wall, the beams and the decoration seen in the video corresponded to the images of the place.
