A suspect driving a stolen vehicle rolled over. To escape the scene of the accident, he stole a motorcycle.
The incident took place on the afternoon of last Thursday (18) on Via Light, which connects municipalities in Baixada Fluminense to the north zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The accident and the crimes attracted attention, as they occurred in front of a Military Police base.
A driver passing by recorded the moment and posted it on social media.

In a statement, the Military Police reported that a team from the 20th BPM (mosque) ordered the vehicle to stop, however, it fled.
After disobeying the order and fleeing from the agents, the criminal overturned, got out of the vehicle, stole a motorcycle, and headed towards Pavuna.
Still in a note, the PM stated that agents from the 41st BPM (Irajá) were called and managed to recover the motorcycle.
Regarding the base located at the location where the action took place, the corporation said that “the aforementioned cabin serves as a support point for the ostensive policing, which operates in the region in a dynamic manner through vehicles and with planned routes”.
