Deputy Tim Moore of the United States shared a video on social network X showing a secret passage in the capitol.
In the video, Moore says that the construction of the capitol began in the 1700s and that there are all kinds of small secret passages through the building.
When lifting a “lid”, you can see an old spiral staircase hidden below the lounge carpet floor.

The deputy comments that if a group of tourists who visit the capitol is small and if things “are timed correctly”, it is possible to descend through the passage.
The old ladder takes outside, and Tim Moore says, unable to check the information, that it was “used By British soldiers when they invaded the capitol during the war, I think it was in 1814, when they actually attacked Washington. ”
“When they entered, it was one of the stairs that the British soldiers really rose, ”he added.
In the video, he highlights that “qUsing people come from North Carolina, we try to show that if it’s a group small enough, we let people get off there. ”
Moore mentions only this state, because each deputy is responsible for calling residents of the home state. But visitation can be done by people from all over the US.
The American ends the video punctuating that children seem to love the secret passage, but the older people not so much.
