In this temple of the second hand jeans have a special place. The founder himself, Angelo Caroli, is a true enthusiast: he has a collection of 1,200 historical denim garments.

In fact, it is Angelo himself who reminds us that «the production of denim has a serious impact in terms of consumption of cotton, water and chemicals. Choose a vintage jeans it is a statement of personal style and green oriented life. In addition, it opens us up to the possibility of choosing from a large choice of design, fit, washes. Although, the most sought after is always him: the 501 of the Levi’s».

Also Elisa di Armada Archive, Veronese boutique of vintage fashion, told us that the most popular model is the 501, but it is not the only one on his podium: “I really like Lee: they have a nice fit but – Elisa explains – they are quite difficult to find. Other brands with a contemporary fit to focus on are i Closed e i Rifle: their eighties / nineties style, which we now call mom fit, it works very well ».

And which jeans to never miss? Elisa has no doubts, indeed for her there is a rule: «It doesn’t matter how many 501s you have in your wardrobe, if you find one you like try it anyway: it could be the perfect one for your silhouette!».

And Simone Monguzzi, fashion editor and founder of the brand new Second Love., shop of iconic garments of past seasons (never used) in Seregno, in Brianza, tells us one of those pieces not to miss a garment with a streetwear soul by Christopher Shannon with leg and skinny and a boyfriend. And then, we also heard Francesca, the founder of the app Vintag, an online platform to sell and buy authentic (and even modern) clothing.
«In addition to the highly sought after Levi’s 501 in the light wash – he tells us – we noticed that when some models from paninaro our users do not let them escape: I think of Roy Rogers, The Charro, Pop84 and obviously the very Italians Carrera».
But the relationship with the big names is also constant, Francesca in fact explains to us that «jeans by brands like Trussardi, Valentino e Moschino: quality and timeless elegance at a moderate price are the winning formula ». Alice, the founder of Groupies Vintage, a Milanese store specializing in denim and customized vintage fashion. «I definitely recommend the oversized models – he explains – to be proposed for casual or, why not, elegant looks. The fit is that of cargo: there are i Lee, or the Levi’s you find the Carpenter but also the 501, to be chosen, however, in several larger sizes ».

In the shops that we have suggested above, but not only. Each city has specialized boutiques and new ones are being born every year, a sign that the sustainable market of the pre-loved fashion is constantly growing.
