The ten-episode series, directed by Susanne Bier, should dedicate each episode to a different protagonist, but the curiosity is all about Michelle Obama’s debut in the TV version, after the representation in the film Southiside With You.

Gillian Anderson, the world famous Dana Scully of The X-Files, plays Betty Ford, the First Lady who most of all lived in the White House (twelve years during her husband’s four presidential terms, played by Kiefer Sutherland, star of 24).

Michelle Pfeiffer to play a more problematic figure, the wife of a president addicted to alcohol and drugs, but certainly interesting, with a strong personality, a woman who has never been afraid to express her opinions.
