The mobile initiative of MIS Experience takes the exposure “The Cinema of Billy Wilder” about the director of classics such as “Semente do Mal” and “Quanto Mais Quente Melhor”, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. With free entry, the digital format of the exhibition changes location every month, with the first stop at Estação Cultura Antonio Alves Barbosa, in Boituva starting this Monday (20).
Through virtual reality, the public can immerse themselves in the main scenarios that replicate the filmmaker’s works. With 360º video and narration, visitors wear virtual reality glasses and see the rooms of the films “Seed of Evil”, “Twilight of the Gods”, “The Hotter the Better”, “Sabrina”, “Irma La Dulce”, “The sin lives next door” and “If my apartment could talk”.
“The exhibition ‘Billy Wilder’s Cinema’ pays homage to one of the most famous filmmakers of the 20th century, a brilliant screenwriter and talented director”, comments André Sturm curator of the exhibition and general director of MIS and MIS Experience.
The physical exhibition is available at the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), in the city of São Paulo, until January 26th. With replica sets, the exhibition highlights 13 of Billy Wilder’s 27 films and even his professional relationship with actresses such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn in addition to telling behind-the-scenes details of the productions.
