Visa and Crypto.com have launched the Visa Masters of Movement program to bring football and digital art together for fans of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The collaborative project will include a series of NFT auctions inspired by the iconic goals scored by legendary FIFA World Cup football stars Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen and Maxi Rodriguez (Maxi Rodriguez).
All digital art pieces have been converted into unique NFTs and are now available on the Crypto.com platform. Visa added that proceeds from the auction will go to Street Child United, a charity operating in the United Kingdom of Qatar.
In addition, fans of the championship will be able to take part in a special event on the interactive field of the FIFA Fan Fest in Doha later this month. The event will allow fans to create their own digital art and transform it into NFTs.
Visa previously filed trademark applications for Web3 services. In particular, the company intends to provide users with the opportunity to make transactions with cryptocurrencies and NFTs, as well as launch its own crypto wallet and develop software for auditing cryptocurrencies.
