Visa is investing in the Deserve project due to the rise in popularity of the BlockFi Bitcoin cryptocurrency card. Users were paid 120 BTC rewards.
Visa’s plans announced in
interview Bloomberg CEO of a card startup, Kalpesh Kapadia.
“We are excited about our partnership with Deserve and look forward to continuing to work together to implement cryptocurrency card programs. The BlockFi Bitcoin credit card has been a great success, ”said AJ Shanley, vice president of cryptocurrencies at Visa.
In July, Deserve launched the Visa credit card in partnership with cryptocurrency financial services provider BlockFi. By using the card, customers can receive rewards in BTC. Card transaction volume is approaching $ 2 billion per year, and BlockFi cardholders are projected to spend roughly $ 30,000 per year. That’s 50% more than the average credit card holder, Kalpesh Kapadia said.
At least 1.5% in BTC is returned from the BlockFi card with each purchase, and for certain transactions and the use of referral links, you can get additional bonuses. The BlockFi card has already brought users around 120 BTC in rewards, Kapadia said.
In early October, BlockFi
reported on the growth in the number of users of their credit cards with cashback, then the total number of issued cards exceeded 50 thousand.
